Welcome to my page. If you’re here, you probably know me. If not, allow me to introduce myself.
I’m Jane. I am a life long reader. I am a lazy girl. I don’t like to do most things. I am constantly saying to myself “I’d like to do go to a museum,” “wouldn’t it be nice if I worked out,” “I need to plan a vacation.” But mostly I nap and doomscroll. And notably, read.
I decided I wanted to blog about reading because it’s been one of the few constants in my life and my dearest love as long as I can remember. And the older I get, I want to jot down a few words about the books I’ve read and loved to share with friends and so that I can revisit the books I’ve loved best from time to time.
My reading passions are vast and varied. My perennial favorites include children’s literature, especially middle grade fiction, graphic novels and graphic non fiction, literary fiction, gothic, mystery, short stories, and non fiction, including children’s. Non fiction genre faves include history, memoirs, comedy, science, art, crafts, fashion and design, and true crime. See what I mean about vast and varied?
I have a Masters in Library and Information Science and I live in central Illinois. I work in research and I am a big believer in libraries. Most of my reads come from my fantastic local library.
